It has to be glued and scraped and should have the conversion varnish over it touched up, as well... Anyway, if you do want to try doing it yourself, Stewart-MacDonald (www.stewmac.com) and Luthiers Mercantile International (www.lmii.com) both sell binding. The correct size is 1/16" X 1/4". You can attach it with DuPont Duco cement, which comes in a tube. However, this is not how the factory does this, nor how I go about it, either. With patience, you'll get it glued on, but it won't look pro.
